Welcome to the Ojai Valley Speech Club, where learning is about Communication, Connection and being part of a Creative family.
We are here to support you as your confidence improves, you learn to think on your feet, and share from the most authentic part of yourself.
At times we get a little theatrical, a little musical, and a tad philosophical but we can guarantee you will find your voice in ways you never expected.
The Ojai Valley Speech Club is a great place to learn, laugh and begin your Friday mornings with a smile.
Objectives
You will learn speech organization, how to create a clear focus and purpose,
effective body language, vocal variety and how to inspire others. Positive and supportive evaluations are done after each speech to help you improve future presentations.
Mentors
We have members with decades of experience in the OVSC to mentor and guide you, so never be afraid to reach out and ask for personal attention.
Community Interaction
Once a year we do a get-acquainted event for the community where we present seasoned speakers, evaluations of speeches and think-on-your-feet table topics. No member is expected to participate unless they feel ready.
Membership & fees
Dues are only $80 paid every six months or $160 a year. The price is pro-rated depending on your join date. Super affordable. We even have partial scholarships for
those in need. Guests are always welcome. Stop by and give us a try.

Meetings are held in Fisher Hall at St. Andrews Church 409 Topa Topa Drive in Ojai.

When
We meet at 7am every Friday morning.
If you can do a speech at sunrise, you can do a speech anytime. (I know, when that alarm goes off you don’t want to get out of bed, but once you taste the magic we think you’ll come back.)
